Global Acts of Unity visits Slough.

Perceptions.

On the 4th and 5th of March Global Acts of Unity visited Slough for the first time. It is always nice to visit an area we haven’t been to before. I had been told in the past that Slough was a pretty grim place I was pleased to see that was wrong.

Like all town centres across the country, Slough is facing difficulties. However, I found the students, staff and people of this  friendly town warm and chatty.

The Schools.

On the 4thof March we spoke twice at the wonderful college of Windsor Forest Colleges Langley Campus. What a gorgeous building and such compassionate and determined students. We had a great day with the students here.

The 5thof March saw us speaking at St Joseph’s RC High School. Once again, the students of Slough were superb both times we presented. We had some great questions from the students and met some really inspiring students.

Final Thoughts.

Slough has proven that old adage about not judging a book by it’s cover. We would very happily come back to Slough and hope to do so.

(In the voice of Mr Schwarzenegger) Slough,,,,,, I’ll Be Back!

Over and Out,
