The GAU and ACTED Friendship.
Paris Bound.
The sights and sounds of Paris were our destination the weekend of 21st June. Vanessa and I are both Board Members of the agency my brother worked for, ACTED. The third weekend of June is always ACTED’s General Assembly (AGM). If we can, Vanessa and I like to attend the General Assembly to hear in detail of ACTED’s operations. ACTEDUK also takes the opportunity to have a board meeting as well so I attend that whilst Vanessa does a little shopping.
Both Vanessa and I love going over to Paris, it gives us both a chance to catch up with our friends and the ACTED family. I have given a brief introduction to ACTED below and their 2018 accomplishments.

ACTED Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development’, is a French humanitarian NGO established in 1993. It is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization committed to supporting vulnerable populations around the world. The headquarters are in Paris, France.
ACTED was initially established in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1993, distributing coal and bread to bakeries to cope with bread shortages. Activities quickly expanded around the country and then to wider Central Asia. From here, ACTED’s work spread to Africa, Central America, the Middle East and South East Asia.
